What is Family Guardian?
Family Guardian is a family safety and parental controls app that helps parents manage location sharing, SOS alerts, check-ins, tasks and rewards, schedules, and screen time for their family members.
Who can create a child account?
Only a parent or legal guardian with an administrator account can create and manage child accounts within a family group.
Why is location not updating?
Ensure location permissions are enabled for Family Guardian on the device, background location is allowed where required, and the device has network connectivity. Some devices restrict background location until configured in system settings.
How do SOS alerts work?
When a family member triggers SOS, authorized family members receive a notification with alert details. SOS is a supplemental tool — always contact local emergency services in a life-threatening emergency.
How do geofences work?
Parents define geographic boundaries in the app. When a member enters or leaves a geofence, the app can log the event and send notifications to selected family members.
Are push notifications required?
Notifications are optional but recommended for SOS alerts, check-in reminders, and schedule alerts. You can adjust notification preferences in the app and device settings.

Family Guardian offers free and paid plans, including Premium and Premium Plus. Paid plans are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat.
How do I subscribe?
Open Family Guardian → Settings → Subscription (or the upgrade screen in the app) and follow the prompts. Purchases are completed through your Apple or Google account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone / iPad: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Family Guardian → Cancel.
Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Family Guardian → Cancel.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Access to premium features typically continues until the end of the current billing period.
Will I get a refund?
Refund eligibility is determined by Apple or Google according to their policies. Contact Apple Support or Google Play support for purchase refunds. You may also email us at [email protected] and we will help where we can.
Premium vs Premium Plus
Premium includes enhanced safety and family management features. Premium Plus may include additional screen-time and app-usage insights and other advanced controls. Exact features are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by device and region.
Subscription not showing after purchase
Try restoring purchases from the in-app subscription screen. Ensure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase. If the issue persists, contact [email protected] with your platform (iOS/Android) and approximate purchase date.
You may delete your Family Guardian account and request removal of associated personal data.
Deleting a parent account may affect child accounts in the same family group. Parents are responsible for managing child account deletion before removing the family administrator account.
