Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the Family Guardian mobile application and related services (“Service”). The Service is provided in connection with Gadaadictionary.com.

By creating an account or using Family Guardian, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create a parent account and manage a family group. Child accounts must be created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Family Account Responsibilities

The parent or designated account administrator is responsible for:

  • Adding and removing family members appropriately
  • Configuring location sharing, geofences, SOS recipients, and notifications
  • Setting tasks, rewards, schedules, and screen-time rules
  • Ensuring use of the Service complies with these Terms and applicable law

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

3. Parent Responsibilities

Parents and guardians using Family Guardian agree to:

  • Use location and monitoring features lawfully and with appropriate consent where required
  • Inform family members about features that collect or share their data
  • Not use the Service to harass, stalk, or unlawfully surveil any person
  • Supervise child accounts and review settings regularly

4. Child Accounts

Child accounts are subordinate to a parent-managed family group. Children may not create independent accounts without parental authorization. Parents control permissions, data access, and account deletion for child profiles.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security features
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service except as permitted by law
  • Upload malicious code or use the Service to send spam or abusive content
  • Misrepresent your identity or relationship to any family member

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Subscriptions and Premium Features

Subscription terms. Certain features require a paid subscription processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat. By subscribing, you agree to the payment terms of the applicable platform in addition to these Terms.

Premium plan. Premium may include enhanced family safety features such as extended location history, additional geofences, task and reward tools, and expanded notifications. Specific features are described in the app at the time of purchase.

Premium Plus plan. Premium Plus may include additional capabilities such as advanced screen-time controls, app usage insights, and priority support. Feature availability may vary by device, operating system, and region.

We may add, modify, or remove features over time. Material changes to subscription benefits will be communicated where required by law or platform policy.

7. Cancellation and Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period through your Apple or Google account subscription settings, or as otherwise described in the app.

Cancelling a subscription stops future charges but does not automatically refund prior payments except where required by law or platform policy. Refund requests for App Store or Play purchases must be directed to Apple or Google according to their policies.

After cancellation, premium features may remain available until the end of the paid period, then revert to free-tier functionality.

8. Safety and Emergency Features

SOS alerts, location sharing, and geofence notifications are supplemental safety tools. They are not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. We do not guarantee delivery or accuracy of alerts in all circumstances.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, logos, and content (excluding user-provided content), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial family use in accordance with these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties such as Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Account Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. See our Support page for instructions.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, subject to applicable data retention and legal requirements described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of your country of residence where mandatory consumer protections apply, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction’s laws.
